Personal Data Protection Law ("KVKK") No 6668, which has come to effect upon being published in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2016, governs the processing of personal data, and aims to protect particularly privacy and basic personal rights and freedoms. Your personal data may be processed by Özalp Law Firm as data controller, for following purposes.
Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your collected personal data may be processed for following purposes:
1.1.Conducting activities necessary for fulfilling the requirements of Legal Practitioners Act, and to run related business processes,
1.2. Maintenance of legal services, follow up and ensuring security of proceedings,
1.3. Planning and executing operational processes,
1.4. Fulfilling the requirements of related public institutions and organizations (Courts and Enforcement Offices, Department of Mediation, Ministries etc.),
1.5. Ensuring implementation of human resources policies; setting and implementing business strategies,
1.6. Fulfilling the requirements of health and safety at work,
1.7. Executing information, communication, and spatial security processes,
We may process your Personal Data upon your explicit consent for the purposes and legal basis of personal data processing set forth in Articles 5-6 of Personal Data Protection Law. We may also process those Personal Data which you made public, without seeking your consent and to the extent allowed by KVKK.
Transferee and Purposes of Transferring Processed Personal Data
Your collected personal data may be transferred to legal counsels and employees of our firm;to third persons if such disclosure is required by related proceedings; and to public institutions and natural persons authorized by law, to the purposes specified above, and under the conditions and the purposes of personal data processing laid down in Articles 8-9 of KVKK.
Method and Legal Basis of Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data is collected by Özalp Law Firm in compliance with legislation and through Partnerships; Group Companies; Subsidiaries; various receivers/providers of support services; our partners or contracting parties as natural and/or legal persons; our call centers; and several channels such as our social media accounts. Accordingly collected personal data may be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in Articles (1) and (2) of Privacy Notice, and in compliance with conditions and purposes of processing personal data as laid down in Articles 5-6 of KVKK.

Rights of Data Subject as per Article 11 of KVKK
Should you have any personal data protection requests as a data subject and send your such requests to Özalp Law Firm through the means set forth in the following section of this Privacy Notice, your requests shall be responded to as soon as possible and latest within 30 days upon considering your request. In case, however, Personal Data Protection Board stipulates payment of a certain fee, Özalp Law Firm may collect the said fee from the related party. Accordingly, data subjects are entitled to:
- Learning whether their personal data is processed or not,
- Requesting related information if their personal data is processed,
- Learning the purpose of personal data processing and whether the said data is used for the intended purpose or not,
- Learning which third parties the personal data is transferred to within the country and abroad,
- If the personal data is processed incompletely or wrongly, requesting correction, or requesting that the related correction is notified to the third parties, whom the personal data was transferred to,
- Requesting deletion or disposal of personal data and requesting that this process taken was notified to the third parties, whom the personal data was transferred to, in case the processing of personal data is no longer required even if it was processed in compliance with Law No 6698 and other applicable provisions,
- Objecting to particularly auto - analysis of processed data if the result of the related analysis is against the interest of the data subject,
- Requesting compensation of the damages if the data subject incurs any damage due to processing of their personal data in a manner contrary to the law.
How to Send Personal Data Protection Requests
Pursuant to the first clause under Article 13 of KVKK, you can send your request to exercise your above specified rights, on a printed letter bearing your wet signature and enclosed with the proof of your identity and registered address details through registered mail or via notary office, to the address Yıldız Caddesi Emek İş Merkezi No:51 Kat:4 Daire:4 Beşiktaş/ISTANBUL.
